An honour to receive the E1-R1 Ambassador Award from CAPS (the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers)

In late-2019, I was honoured to receive the E1-R1 (Each-One-Reach-One) Ambassador of the Year Award by the association that has given me so much over the years. This award is given to the individual who has brought in the most new members to my speakers association, the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), over the year.

Some may say that it’s because of my welcoming nature…. I think it can also be attributed to my campaign of relentless harassment that wears down prospective (and qualified) members until they join just to get me off their back. Whatever the case, it’s a pleasure to do so, so that I can share the value that this wonderful association has brought me, and help sing the praises of CAPS.

I joined CAPS in late 2008, and my membership in this association has been instrumental in being able to create and sustain a thriving business in the speaking industry. What makes this association different is that the members – coming from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, and with such great levels of expertise – do not hesitate from helping anyone else in the association, in any matter. This is often why so many members refer to the association as the “CAPS Family.” From business advice to expert insights, from deep-dive learning to the building of supportive friendships, this community has always served me, and I do what I can to serve it right back.

Thank you Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and all its amazing members for all that you do for the speaking industry, and your speaking colleagues.
