Never has communication been more essential — more challenging — and more rewarding (my interview with Sarah McVanel-Viney)
With so many of us having to get our point across virtually — and without the benefit of the small communication cues that often are more readily available when you’re in person — we’ve been stretched in all sorts of weird ways in order to get our point across.
What remains essential is that whether you’re speaking to your team, your supervisors or your clients, virtually or in person, it’s up to you to guide others to create better communication in order to have more successful and effective meetings.
I had the chance to have a conversation with Sarah McVanel, Canada’s Recognition Expert, on her VLOG to talk about how we can elevate our communication and remove the barriers that impede these meaningful, relevant conversations and presentations.
It all boils down to this: The more effort you spend ensuring your message resonates and makes sense to your peers and your people, the more you show that you value them….and deliver the recognition that they need. A win-win, right?!
